Children’s National Hospital is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Target Audience: Nurses at all levels of practice.
Contact Hours will be provided for each full day attended:
Day #1: 8.25 CNE
Day #2: 8.25 CNE
** No partial CE credit given. Must attend all sessions on one or both days. Poster sessions are not included.

Successful Completion: Successful completion to obtain NCPD contact hours includes registration for symposium and pay any required fee. Attestation of attendance for the day contact hours are being claimed, and completion of the online evaluation for each day attended. Evaluations and Awarding of Contact Hours: Electronic evaluations and contact hour certificates will be emailed to participants a few days following the conference. Please be mindful to check spam folders to ensure you do not miss the email.

Conference Objectives

  1. Examine how meaningfulness is found in caring, through both the relational aspect and as a moral imperative. 
  2. Describe the essential elements in the nursing profession that honor timeless commitments and position nurses to play a leading role in improving health outcomes.
  3. Identify two essential ethical competencies for moral agency in healthcare providers to create and sustain health care systems responsive to peoples’ needs.
  4. Discuss the necessity to integrate nursing’s primary meaning, purpose, and values into systems, solutions, and societal views of caregiving.
  5. Demonstrate strategies that will powerfully communicate to ourselves, our colleagues, our patients and families, and communities, that we all “matter.”
